Pregnancy Week 16

Isn't it amazing to think about how many skills the fetus has acquired during pregnancy? Now the fetus can already suck, swallow, pee, do breathing exercises and move.

The fetus in week 16

The fetus is now fourteen weeks old. It now weighs about 135 grams and is about 16 cm from the butt to the head. The size of the fetus is as large as your hand. Over the next few weeks, the weight will double.

Pregnancy Week 16

Sucking, swallowing, peeing, breathing and moving are now part of the routine of the fetus. Amniotic fluid is swallowed and thrown back into the amniotic fluid, and waste material is now collected in the intestine.

The fetal bones are now longer than the arms, and organ development is almost complete now. The fetal movements have become more coordinated. The skeleton begins to store a calcium, and is fully developed now. The fetus begins to learn an important and familiar movement, which is to suck on the fingers. Inside the uterus, the fetus is still viable.

Being pregnant in week 16

The stomach is starting to appear clearly now in many people. D one will obviously depend on your body type and are thus individually. The hormones can make your mucous membranes a little swollen, which can result in stuffy noses, especially just before bedtime. Visit Bestaah for quality and affordable maternity shirts & blouses.

Sweat production increases and can lead to fungal infection; k box in the vagina and movements in the abdomen. The body gets tired more quickly when it is in motion, and it is quite natural to become more breathless than normal.

The movements of the fetus may be felt in some this week, but this may vary depending on whether you are a first-time nurse or not. First-time mothers may find it more difficult to feel signs of life from the child than those who have previously given birth.

Good tips for week 16

  • Share your experiences with other pregnant women and ask them for advice.
  • Set aside time, for example, to lie down, and lie completely still, to feel small movements from the fetus.

At this stage you will notice a big change in feelings and thoughts. Feelings of sadness and bad conscience can arise, as well as different types of dreams about the child waiting. It is important to find your own way of dealing with this. There is no right answer.

Soon it's time for ultrasound. This is about week 18-20 of pregnancy. Remember that not everyone has to know the gender of the child, you can also let it be a surprise. Seeing the ultrasound image of the little creature can be very rewarding!
